About Sherry
I know what it's like to move and search for the perfect place - because I've done it myself many, many times
I first moved to Vancouver Island when I was 12, trading Calgary for Nanaimo with my parents. I went to school at Departure Bay Elementary, then Woodlands Junior High. At 16, we moved to Victoria where I graduated from Mount Douglas Senior Secondary.
Life took me to Edmonton for many years, and I tried living in Banff and Calgary again—but nothing felt as amazing as being near the ocean. While working in Seattle as a visiting trade officer, I knew it was time to come home.
Back in Victoria, I launched my real estate career with a clear mission: help people moving from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario discover that Victoria isn't the only option—even if it's the only place they've vacationed. I started in residential real estate in Sidney, then expanded into commercial real estate, drawing on my background as a small business counsellor to help entrepreneurs buy, expand, and sell their businesses.
The demand for my services eventually took me to the Mainland. Then, during the COVID pandemic, I moved to Pender Island to recover from surgery—fully expecting to return to Vancouver or Victoria afterward.
Instead, I fell in love with Pender Island.
I love the quiet, the community, the fact that we don't have a single red light anywhere. I've made wonderful friends here and found meaningful ways to give back—volunteer bartending at the Pender Island Legion (Branch #239) and supporting youth across Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands through the Youth Empowerment Society in Victoria.
Rather than compete with the many competent realtors already on Pender, I returned to my original passion: helping people from away choose the right community—not just find a house.
Why does this matter? As a real estate agent, I met too many people who regretted their move—not because they bought the wrong house, but because they chose the wrong community. They only knew about Victoria because that's where they'd vacationed. No one told them about the dozens of other communities that might have been a better fit.
I've seen what happens when people skip the community research and go straight to house hunting. They end up somewhere that doesn't fit their lifestyle—and moving again is expensive and exhausting.
That's why I started VIP Relocation Services. So you can find the community that truly fits your lifestyle—before you buy a home.
